Biplav warns of dire consequences if its leaders are not released

KATHMANDU: General Secretary of the outlawed Nepal Communist Party, Netra Bikram Chand ‘Biplav’ has warned the government of dire consequences if it did not release its leaders who were arrested on Wednesday.

Issuing a statement, Biplav demanded the unconditional release of 21 leaders warning that failure to do so would lead to unfortunate circumstances.

“Anyone trying to suppressed revolutionaries would be turned into ashes,” he has said.

Biplav has raised serious concern over the arrest of his party leaders, including Birjung, party’s central member and in-charge of mid-west command, among others.

Police have arrested 21 cadres, including Biplav’s elder brother Chandra Bahadur of the Biplav-led faction from a jungle at Rapti rural municipality 4.
