President issues ordinance amending Voter List Act ahead of March 5 election



KATHMANDU: President Ram Chandra Paudel has issued an ordinance to amend the Voter List Act, in preparation for the upcoming House of Representatives elections scheduled for March 5, 2026.

According to the Office of the President, the ordinance was issued on the recommendation of the Council of Ministers, in line with Article 114 (1) of the Constitution.

The move is aimed at ensuring necessary legal arrangements are in place for conducting the elections smoothly.
