Law Ministry for studying lawmaking technicalities

KATHMANDU: The first decisions of the new ministers in the Gen-Z backed government have been observed keenly to see whether they digress from the traditional routine of minister’s first day with office assumption.

In this regard, the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs have come up with the decision to study the technicalities of lawmaking- process, language and style.

The newly appointed Minister Anil Kumar Sinha assumed the office in Singh Durbar on Tuesday and approved the ministry decision to this regard. He was received by Ministry Secretary Parashwor Dhungana.

“Good governance, corruption-free society and employment within the country are the government’s priority, which are also the demands of Gen-Z,” said Law Minister Sinha.

He, however, said first priority is holding election, because this government is formed with the mandate of election within six months. There won’t be any compromise on it. For the election to happen on time, some amendments would be forwarded for ordinance.

Talking briefly to media persons after assuming the office on Tuesday, decision on formation of commission on study and investigation of corruption would be taken after adequate discussion.

“There is a huge challenge before the court as well. It is good to see that court employees are united to restore the activities and rise from the mess. We should continue efforts to bring court operation to normalcy by collecting legal/case documents gradually,” he added.
