NEPSE rebounds after major fall



KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) rebounded strongly on Sunday, gaining 111.70 points, following a sharp fall of 160.33 points last Thursday.

With a total transaction of Rs 9.17 billion, NEPSE’s market capitalization increased by 4.44 percent for the day.

Out of 252 companies that traded on Sunday, the share prices of 224 companies rose, while 28 declined. Shares of nine companies hit the upper circuit limit, climbing 10 percent.

All sector indices ended in the green except for mutual funds and non-life insurance, which recorded slight losses.
