KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank has published the official foreign currency exchange rates for today. According to the central bank, the buying rate of one US dollar has been fixed at NPR 140.95, while the selling rate stands at NPR 141.55.
The euro is being traded at NPR 165.30 for buying and NPR 166.00 for selling. The UK pound sterling has a buying rate of NPR 191.05 and a selling rate of NPR 191.86. Similarly, the Swiss franc is being exchanged at NPR 176.93 for buying and NPR 177.68 for selling.
The buying rate of the Australian dollar is NPR 93.68 and the selling rate is NPR 94.07. For the Canadian dollar, the buying rate is NPR 101.86 and the selling rate is NPR 102.29. The Singapore dollar is priced at NPR 109.86 for buying and NPR 110.32 for selling.
Among Asian currencies, 10 Japanese yen are being exchanged at NPR 9.54 for buying and NPR 9.58 for selling. One Chinese yuan is valued at NPR 19.79 (buying) and NPR 19.88 (selling).
The Saudi Arabian riyal has a buying rate of NPR 37.57 and a selling rate of NPR 37.73, while the Qatari riyal is at NPR 38.67 for buying and NPR 38.83 for selling.
Likewise, the Thai baht is set at NPR 4.44 for buying and NPR 4.46 for selling. The UAE dirham is being traded at NPR 38.38 (buying) and NPR 38.54 (selling). The Malaysian ringgit stands at NPR 33.52 for buying and NPR 33.66 for selling. For the South Korean won, 100 units are priced at NPR 10.13 for buying and NPR 10.18 for selling.
The Swedish krona is fixed at NPR 15.11 for buying and NPR 15.17 for selling, while the Danish krona is at NPR 22.14 (buying) and NPR 22.24 (selling). One Hong Kong dollar is being exchanged at NPR 18.11 for buying and NPR 18.19 for selling.
Among Gulf currencies, the Kuwaiti dinar is trading at NPR 461.54 for buying and NPR 463.51 for selling. The Bahraini dinar is valued at NPR 373.85 (buying) and NPR 375.44 (selling), while the Omani rial is at NPR 366.08 for buying and NPR 367.64 for selling.
Additionally, the exchange rate for 100 Indian rupees has been set at NPR 160.00 for buying and NPR 160.15 for selling.
Nepal Rastra Bank has noted that these rates may be revised as necessary. Rates provided by commercial banks may vary, and the latest updates can be found on the central bank’s official website.
