India welcomes formation of new interim government in Nepal



KATHMANDU: India has welcomed the formation of Nepal’s new interim government, led by Prime Minister Sushila Karki.

In a statement issued by the Ministry of External Affairs, the Indian government congratulated Karki on her appointment as interim Prime Minister.

“We welcome the formation of a new interim government in Nepal under the leadership of Sushila Karki. We hope that it will contribute to promoting peace and stability,” the statement read.

India, describing itself as a close neighbor, democratic partner, and long-standing development ally, affirmed its commitment to continued cooperation with Nepal for the shared prosperity and well-being of both countries and their peoples.
