Nepal Army disperses Gen-Z protesters, asks them to report tomorrow

KATHMANDU: Nepali Army personnel intervened at the Army Headquarters in Bhadrakali, dispersing Gen-Z protesters who had gathered to discuss leadership of the prospective interim government.

The protesters had come to negotiate with the Army about forwarding names for the interim government leadership. However, disagreements among various groups over preferred candidates escalated into shouting and confusion outside the gates.

In response, the Army asked all protesters to leave the premises and instructed them to return the following morning with the name and phone number of the designated leadership representative.

The Army said only an authorized representative should present the leadership proposal, aiming to maintain order and ensure a structured dialogue amid the ongoing political developments.
