Case files destroyed in Supreme Court fire, remaining documents relocated

KATHMANDU: A large number of case files at the Supreme Court were destroyed in Tuesday’s blaze triggered during the Gen-Z protests.

According to court officials, most of the files were gutted by the fire that swept through the building, while those that survived have now been transferred to a secure location. Staff members were mobilized to move the remaining documents to safety.

The arson attack left the country’s apex judicial institution heavily damaged, forcing an indefinite suspension of hearings. Authorities say a full assessment of the loss is still underway.
