Hilton Hotel in continues to burn

KATHMANDU: The Hilton Hotel in Naxal, allegedly linked to the son of Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba, remains engulfed in flames days after being set on fire during Tuesday’s Gen Z protests.

The fire, which broke out in the afternoon, has yet to be brought under control. The hotel, which had become a landmark in the Naxal area has now been reduced to ashes in just over a year.

Investors in the project, including Sahil Agrawal of Shankar Group, have reportedly suffered significant losses. Nearby establishments, such as the Bhat-Bhateni Superstore, were also destroyed in the arson attack.

Authorities continue efforts to assess the damage and prevent further incidents in the area.
