5-million fund raised for stadium construction



KATHMANDU:  The Goldhunga Sports Society has raised Rs 5 million to construct a stadium at Goldhunga in Kathmandu by organizing Srimad Bhagwat Saptaha Gyan Mahayagya.

In the memory of late congress leader Sudarshan Acharya, ‘Sudarshan Goldhunga Memorial Stadium’ is to be constructed by the Goldhunga Sports Society.

Acharya was the founding chair of the society. The Society owns 75 ropanis of land in Goldhunga where the stadium will be used, according to  Devendra Aryal, secretary of the Society.
