KATHMANDU: With protests, arson, and vandalism spreading across the country, the Nepal Army has moved to secure Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and cabinet ministers by relocating them to undisclosed safe locations.
According to officials, the unprecedented step was taken after demonstrators stormed political leaders’ residences, government offices, and even set fire to the Parliament building.
Speaking to Khabarhub, one minister confirmed being taken into Army protection but admitted not knowing the exact location. “The Army has placed us under security, but we ourselves don’t know where we are being kept,” the minister said.
