Protesters completely destroy PM Oli’s residence in Balkot (Photos)



KATHMANDU: Demonstrators have burned down Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli’s residence in Balkot, Bhaktapur, on Tuesday.

The crowd set fire to the house after police opened fire on protesters who attempted to attack the residence. Both of Oli’s homes, as well as a neighboring house, were destroyed. Three protesters were injured by gunfire.

After the arson, thick smoke rose from the Balkot residence, and authorities have reportedly lost control of the situation.
