KATHMANDU: The government has reached a deal with the Nepal National Teachers Association against the provision of the constitution, reported Kantipur daily.

According to the agreement, the teachers of primary and secondary level will remain under the purview of the federal government while the constitution has empowered the local governments to look after primary to secondary level education, says the report.

The Ministry of Education’s decision is against the spirit of the federal setup. The educationists have said that this agreement will impact the proposed federal education bill.
