KATHMANDU: Dr. Govinda KC, who had been on a hunger strike for the past three days demanding reforms in medical education, ended his protest on Tuesday afternoon.
He had begun his 23rd hunger strike at the proposed Dasharathchand Health Sciences University in Geta, Kailali. Unlike his earlier indefinite fasts, this time he had announced the strike would last for only three days.
Dr. KC ended his fast at 2 p.m. by drinking juice offered by 52-year-old Pritim Chaudhary of Kanchanpur after experiencing health complications.
