Nepal Rastra Bank releases today’s foreign exchange rates



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank has released the official foreign exchange rates for today. According to the central bank, the buying rate for one US dollar is set at Rs 140, while the selling rate stands at Rs 140.60.

The euro is being bought at Rs 163 and sold at Rs 163.69. Similarly, the UK pound sterling is trading at Rs 188.75 for buying and Rs 189.56 for selling. The Swiss franc’s rates are Rs 173.81 for buying and Rs 174.55 for selling.

The Australian dollar is valued at Rs 90.83 for buying and Rs 91.21 for selling, while the Canadian dollar is trading at Rs 101.11 and Rs 101.54 respectively. The buying rate for one Singapore dollar is Rs 108.90, and the selling rate is Rs 109.37.

Among Asian currencies, ten Japanese yen are being bought for Rs 9.49 and sold for Rs 9.53. The Chinese yuan is being exchanged at Rs 19.55 for buying and Rs 19.64 for selling. The Thai baht’s buying rate is Rs 4.31.

The Malaysian ringgit is valued at Rs 33.21 for buying and Rs 33.35 for selling. Likewise, 100 South Korean won are being bought for Rs 10.03 and sold for Rs 10.08. One Hong Kong dollar is being traded at Rs 17.95 for buying and Rs 18.02 for selling.

Likewise, in the Gulf region, one Saudi Arabian riyal is being bought at Rs 37.31 and sold at Rs 37.47, while the Qatari riyal stands at Rs 38.41 for buying and Rs 38.57 for selling. The UAE dirham is trading at Rs 38.12 and Rs 38.28 respectively.

The Kuwaiti dinar is the highest valued, with a buying rate of Rs 458.10 and a selling rate of Rs 460.06. The Bahraini dinar is being bought at Rs 371.32 and sold at Rs 372.91, while the Omani rial’s rates are Rs 363.64 for buying and Rs 365.19 for selling.

In other currencies, the Swedish kronor is being bought at Rs 14.61 and sold at Rs 14.67, while the Danish krone is valued at Rs 21.84 for buying and Rs 21.93 for selling.

Meanwhile, the rate for 100 Indian rupees has been fixed at Rs 160 for buying and Rs 160.15 for selling.

The Nepal Rastra Bank noted that these rates may be revised if necessary and that the exchange rates set by commercial banks may differ. Updated rates are available on the NRB’s official website.
