HoR receives report on bill to amend and integrate school education laws

KATHMANDU: The report on the bill aimed at amending and integrating school education laws, has been presented to the House of Representatives.

During Friday’s parliamentary session, Ammar Bahadur Thapa, chairperson of the Education, Health, and Information Technology Committee, submitted the report. The committee had approved the bill the previous day.

While presenting the report, Chairperson Thapa claimed that the bill follows a historic path in shaping the country’s education system. He also urged concerned stakeholders opposing the bill not to resort to protests.

“This is unprecedented and will not be seen again. The bill adopts a historic approach,” Thapa said. “Therefore, I appeal to those who intend to take the path of protest to reconsider and not pursue it.”
