Cold store constructed at Kurintar

CHITWAN: Small Farmers Cooperative Organization Limited has constructed a cold store at Ichhakamana rural municipality-4, Kurintar of Chitwan district.

The cold store has been constructed with an investment of Rs. 3.5 million from the federal government’s Terai-Madhesh Prosperity Program. The Small Farmers Cooperative Organization Limited has contributed 10 percent funding for the same, Chairperson of the cooperative, Nar Bahadur Nepal informed.

According to him, the cold store was constructed to store vegetables, agro products, and fruits afresh when they are not taken to the market.

The cold store will come into operation soon, Nepal said adding that the capacity of the store will be gradually expanded.
