Former President Bhandari waves from balcony of her newly inaugurated contact office



KATHMANDU: Former President Bhandari inaugurated her new contact office in Thapagaun on Thursday.

The office, established to mark the 75th birth anniversary of late communist leader Madan Bhandari, will serve as a venue for her political meetings and interactions, according to aides.

Following the inauguration, Bhandari greeted attendees by waving from theFormer President Bidya Devi Bhandari  building’s balcony — a gesture that drew comparisons to the widely circulated images of UML Chair KP Sharma Oli waving from the balcony of his Balkot residence.
