The summit will be held in Beijing on August 31 and September 1, with Chinese President Xi Jinping inaugurating the event.
Leaders from across the world, including Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, will be in attendance.
During the visit, PM Oli is scheduled to hold bilateral talks with both the Chinese President and his Indian counterpart, a Foreign Ministry source confirmed.
The SCO was established in 2001 with the aim of promoting regional stability. Its current members include China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Russia, India, Pakistan, Iran, and Belarus. Nepal has been a dialogue partner of the organization since 2020.
This marks the first time Nepal will be represented at the summit by a head of government. Discussions will focus on political, economic, and security issues.
