KATHMANDU: Preparations for the Women’s Champions League Twenty20 Cricket Tournament have reached a final stage.
Players have arrived in Kathmandu while the cricket ground is all set for the cricket tournament to be held from October 16 to November 2, Chhumbi Lama, managing director of Queens Event Management, told Khabarhub.
Five teams representing five cities are participating in the women’s league which is taking place for the first time in Nepal.
The cricket tournament will be held at TU cricket ground in Kirtipur. Lalitpur Falcons, Pokhara Paltan, Kathmandu Royals, Chitwan Rinos and Biratnagar Tigers will be competing in the tournament.
Kathmandu Royals will lock horns with Chitwan Rinos at the inaugural match on October 16.
