Parliamentary Committee demands progress report on TU Cricket Ground renovation

KATHMANDU: The Federal Parliament’s Committee on Implementation, Monitoring, and Evaluation of State Policies and Principles has decided to request a progress report on the renovation of the TU Cricket Ground.

At a meeting held on Friday at Singha Durbar, the committee directed the government to provide detailed information regarding the development work carried out so far for the upgrade of the TU Cricket Ground, said committee chairperson Thakur Gaire.

The committee had conducted a field inspection of the TU Cricket Ground on July 28. Following this monitoring visit, the committee has instructed the authorities to submit a comprehensive update on the progress made since then, Gaire added.

During the earlier site inspection, the committee expressed satisfaction with the renovation work but also emphasized the need for swift facilitation to complete the remaining tasks as soon as possible.
