Bagmati Province declared a fully immunized zone



BHAKTAPUR: Bagmati Province was officially declared a fully immunized zone today.

At a program organized by the Ministry of Health of Bagmati Province in Bhaktapur, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli made the declaration, confirming that all children under 15 months of age in the province’s 13 districts and 119 local levels have received all routine vaccines.

On the occasion, Prime Minister Oli presented a certificate—provided by the National Immunization Coordinating Committee under the Ministry of Health and Population (federal government)—to Bagmati Province Health Minister Kiran Thapa.

PM Oli also inaugurated the ‘Digital Health’ program during the event. Congratulating the province, he highlighted that the ‘Healthy Nepal’ campaign is an integral part of achieving the national aspiration of ‘Prosperous Nepal, Happy Nepali.’

He emphasized the need to promote health for humans, livestock, and plants, along with efforts to maintain cleanliness in both urban and rural areas.

During the program, the Prime Minister also honored outstanding employees and female community health volunteers for their contributions.

Chief Minister of Bagmati Province, Bahadur Singh Lama, noted that the full immunization campaign succeeded due to sustained efforts by the health sector.
