Five parliamentary committees holding meetings today



KATHMANDU: Five committees of the Federal Parliament are holding meetings today.

The Agriculture, Cooperatives, and Natural Resources Committee is meeting in the morning at 11:00 AM. The agenda includes discussion on the draft bill related to land management, cooperatives, and poverty alleviation for the fiscal year 2082. Experts from the Land Commission, and sectors related to land and forests, will also participate.

Similarly, the Law, Justice, and Human Rights Committee, as well as the Agriculture and Cooperatives Committee, are scheduled to meet at 1:00 PM. The Law Committee will discuss current policies and the Nepal Bar Council (Second Amendment) Bill, 2081.

Meetings of the Legislature-Management Committee, the Development and Economic Affairs Committee, and the National Concerns and Coordination Committee are also being held.

The Good Governance Committee is meeting in the morning to discuss governance issues across various provinces, including Madhes.

In the afternoon, the Water Resources Committee will review the Water Resources Bill, 2081, and the Draft Water Resources Policy, 2081.

The National Concerns and Coordination Committee is also scheduled to meet at 11:00 AM to discuss issues with the Ministry of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation, focusing on the progress of national pride projects and solutions to ongoing challenges.
