Maoist Centre finalizes agenda for upcoming Standing Committee meeting



KATHMANDU: The CPN (Maoist Centre) has finalized the agenda for its upcoming Standing Committee meeting.

According to party spokesperson Agni Sapkota, a meeting of the party’s office bearers held on Wednesday at the central office in Parisdanda set the agenda for the Standing Committee meeting scheduled to begin on Friday, August 1.

He informed that party chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ will brief the committee on the current political situation during the meeting.

The agenda includes resuming the party’s halted campaign in Pokhara, strengthening internal unity, and discussing issues related to the Socialist Front.

Sapkota added that the meeting will also address organizational development, division of responsibilities among leaders, and adoption of resolutions on current affairs.

The Standing Committee will also fix the date for the Central Committee meeting, he said.
