Feeling exhausted due to continuous work pressure: PM Oli

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister (PM) KP Sharma Oli has said that he is feeling exhausted due to continuous work pressure, day and night.

In a social media post on Friday morning, the Prime Minister shared that he did not participate in any external programs on Thursday because of fatigue. “I was tired due to the pressure of work day and night. I did not attend any outside programs yesterday,” he wrote.

Despite the exhaustion, Prime Minister Oli announced that he will be visiting drought-affected areas of Mahottari and Bara today. “Due to prolonged drought in the Terai-Madhes, paddy planting has not been completed even by the first week of Shrawan. I believe it is necessary to observe the situation firsthand and hear from local farmers,” he said. “Today, I will be meeting the brothers and sisters of Mahottari and Bara.”

According to his personal secretariat, the Prime Minister is scheduled to inaugurate several infrastructure projects during his visit. He will inaugurate the Bighi River Bridge in Matihani Municipality-8 and a newly constructed maternity hospital in Ward No. 6 of Matihani. He is also expected to address a public gathering in the area.

In Mahottari, he will also inaugurate the Ratukhola Bridge located in Rauja along the Janakpur–Kurtha–Samsi road section.

Later in the day, Prime Minister Oli is scheduled to inaugurate a newly constructed administrative building in Parwanipur Rural Municipality of Bara and deliver an address, his secretariat confirmed.
