KATHMANDU: Tribhuvan Army Football Club, representing Nepal in the 134th Durand Cup, one of Asia’s oldest football tournaments, will play its opening match today against Indian Super League (ISL) side Jamshedpur FC.
The Group C clash will take place at the JRD Tata Sports Complex in Jamshedpur, kicking off at 4:45 PM Nepali time.
Group C also includes Indian Army and 1 Ladakh Football Club. After today’s opener, Army will face 1 Ladakh FC on August 2 and Indian Army on August 5.
A total of 24 teams have been divided into six groups in the tournament. The top team from each group will advance directly to the knockout stage, along with two of the best-performing runners-up.
All matches of the tournament are being broadcast live on Sony Sports Network and SonyLIV.
