HoR meeting: Two bills to be presented today



KATHMANDU: The House of Representatives (HoR) is scheduled to meet today at 1:00 PM at the Federal Parliament Building in New Baneshwor. The agenda includes the presentation of two bills.

Minister for Women, Children, and Senior Citizens Nawal Kishor Sah Sudi is slated to propose consideration of the Human Trafficking and Smuggling (Control) (First Amendment) Bill, 2081, according to the Federal Parliament Secretariat.

Similarly, Minister for Education, Science, and Technology Raghuji Pant will propose consideration of the Tilganga Netra University Bill, 2081, which originated in the National Assembly.

In addition, three parliamentary committees are holding meetings today. These include the International Relations and Tourism Committee under the House of Representatives, and two National Assembly committees: the Public Policy and Delegated Legislation Committee, and the Legislative Management Committee.

The International Relations and Tourism Committee will deliberate on the Nepal Civil Aviation Authority Bill, 2081 with participating lawmakers.

Meanwhile, the Legislative Management Committee is set to hold a clause-wise discussion on the Water Resources Bill, 2081. The Delegated Legislation Committee will review and endorse a report concerning national parks.
