Three parliamentary committees meeting today



KATHMANDU: Three committees of the Federal Parliament are meeting today to discuss key legislative and oversight matters.

The Public Accounts Committee; the Legislative Management Committee; and the Federalism Strengthening and National Concerns Committee are scheduled to convene.

The Public Accounts Committee will hold a discussion on complaints related to the construction of the Jagadulla Hydropower Project. Additionally, the committee is expected to propose a date for a joint meeting with the Secretary of the Government of Nepal.

The Legislative Management Committee will conduct a clause-wise discussion on the Water Resources Bill, 2081.

Meanwhile, the Federalism Strengthening and National Concerns Committee will review the implementation progress of national pride projects under the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport.

The committee will also examine existing challenges, efforts made to address them, and the expectations from the committee’s role in oversight.
