Deputy Speaker Rana leaves for China



KATHMANDU: Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Indira Rana, has left on a six-day official visit to the People’s Republic of China, leading a two-member delegation.

According to Ekram Giri, spokesperson for the Federal Parliament Secretariat, Deputy Speaker Rana flew to Henan Province last night aboard a China Southern Airlines flight. She is accompanied by Jagdish Neupane, Deputy Secretary of the Federal Parliament Secretariat.

The Deputy Speaker is visiting China to participate in the Shanghai Cooperation Forum Media and Think Tank Summit, taking place from 23 to 27 July in Henan Province.

She is scheduled to address the summit and hold meetings with provincial officials. Her itinerary also includes visits to key locations within the province, including Zhengzhou City. Deputy Speaker Rana is expected to return to Nepal on 27 July.
