PM Oli: No one’s wish to see UML without Oli will come true

JHAPA: Prime Minister and CPN-UML Chair KP Sharma Oli has said that no force can defeat UML if the party stands united with a strong sense of purpose.

Addressing a district-level gathering of UML cadres in Damak on Sunday, Oli accused opportunistic leaders—who enjoyed responsibilities and benefits over the years—of conspiring to divide and destroy the party in the past.

However, he said such attempts failed as the party was preserved and revived by its dedicated cadres and the people.

Amid former President Bidya Devi Bhandari’s return to active politics, Oli remarked that some regressive forces are now trying to visualize a UML without him.

“That desire to see a UML without KP Oli is part of a reactionary game,” he said. “Don’t fall into the trap of such conspiracies from inside or outside the party. Stand firm with the right policies and leadership.”

He also dismissed the idea of a Nepal without UML or a UML without him, stating, “Those who wish for a UML-free Nepal or an Oli-free UML will not have their wishes fulfilled. UML is not a party driven by petty interests; it is a force born from sacrifices, tasked with building the nation.”

Oli claimed that those plotting against the UML will not succeed. “A buffalo never gets caught in a spider’s web,” he said. “Don’t get swayed by misleading propaganda. KP Oli and UML do not engage in corruption. We are not like RSP, who launch signature campaigns after facing cooperative fraud charges.”
