SFD provides Rs 3.33 billion soft-loan to Nepal



KATHMANDU: The Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) has provided a concessional loan of Rs 3.33 billion (112.5 million Saudi Riyal) to Nepal in a bid to support the “Program for Reconstruction of Houses, Health and Educational Facilities in Earthquake Affected Areas.”

Finance secretary Dr Rajan Khanal and SFD Vice-Chairperson Dr Khaled Bin Sulaiman signed the financing agreement on Friday in the Ministry of Finance in the presence of Finance Minister Dr Yuba Raj Khatiwada.

Dr Sulaiman, also the Managing Director of SFD, said it was SFD’s expressed his happiness at SFD’s endeavors to support the reconstruction campaign launched by the Nepal government.

Finance secretary Dr Khanal also expressed gratitude to the SFD for support in the humanitarian sector.
