Indian police arrest five Bangladeshis

KOLKATA: Indian police have arrested five Bangladeshis from North 24 Parganas district trying to illegally crossover to India.

Border Security Force (BSF) officials said a police patrol intercepted and arrested them in two separate incidents from the Parganas district, police said.

The arrested Bangladeshis have been handed over to police stations for further legal action.

Border Security Force (BSF) troops of South Bengal Frontier have so far apprehended 278 Indian and 1,214 Bangladeshi nationals for illegally crossing the international border. (Agencies)
