Five parliamentary committees to convene today



KATHMANDU: Five committees under the Federal Parliament are scheduled to hold meetings today, including the Law, Justice and Human Rights Committee; Finance Committee; International Relations and Tourism Committee; Infrastructure Development Committee; and the Women and Social Affairs Committee.

The meetings of all committees except one will take place at 11 AM in Singha Durbar. The Women and Social Affairs Committee will convene later at 2 PM.

The Law, Justice and Human Rights Committee will hold discussions with lawmakers who proposed amendments to the Nepal Bar Council (Second Amendment) Bill, 2024.

The Finance Committee will engage in internal discussions regarding the draft of its annual report.

The International Relations and Tourism Committee will deliberate with the Ministry of Tourism and Nepal Tourism Board on the current status, challenges, and future plans of the board.

Meanwhile, the Infrastructure Development Committee will focus on the Jajarkot section of the Mid-Hill Highway and the bridge over the Bheri River.

The Women and Social Affairs Committee is set to discuss the committee’s operational procedures and upcoming agenda.
