J&K to be open for tourists from October 10

JAMMU AND KASHMIR: Governor of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) Satya Pal Malik has instructed all concerned authorities to lift the over two-month-old advisory, that has asked tourists to leave the Kashmir Valley.

Officials said that the governor instructed that the advisory be lifted immediately, Indian media reports have said.

The advisory will be lifted with effect from October 10, according to an official.

The administration had on August 2 issued a security advisory asking pilgrims of Amarnath and tourists to leave Kashmir at the earliest, citing terror threat. (Agencies)
