‘Maoist Centre committed to promoting national capital, good governance, and prosperity’

BHAKTAPUR: Main opposition CPN (Maoist Centre) chair and former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has emphasized promotion of the national capital, good governance, and prosperity as the core principles of his party.

In his address to the secretariat meeting and training programme of the Nepal Chamber of Commerce and Industry here today, the former PM claimed they had introduced mega infrastructure projects during his premiership.

His private secretariat shared that he laid focus on promoting national capital and maintaining good governance.

Recalling vital infrastructure projects closely related to the transformation of the people’s lives, chair Dahal said, “We introduced the concepts such as the Postal Highway, the Mid-Hill Highway, and the North-South Corridor”.

The projects he claimed have brought significant changes to the living standards of the people. The people of Rukum and Baglung have already experienced the transformation brought by the Mid-Hill Highway, Dahal noted.

“We also decided to open eight trade transit points in the north, which has helped reduce unilateral trade dependence”, he claimed.
