Lalitpur Metropolitan City unveils Rs 7.47 billion budget



LALITPUR: Lalitpur Metropolitan City (LMC) has presented a budget of Rs 7.47 billion for the fiscal year 2025/26.

Deputy Mayor Manjali Shakya Bajracharya tabled the income and expenditure estimates during Tuesday’s municipal assembly. Of the total budget, Rs 2.96 billion has been allocated for recurrent (current) expenditure, while Rs 4.50 billion has been earmarked for capital projects.

The city aims to raise Rs 3.71 billion through internal revenue sources. The budget prioritizes good governance, heritage and cultural conservation, sustainable infrastructure, environmental protection, economic self-reliance, quality education, clean drinking water for every household, social development, public health, and youth employment.
