PM Oli claims UML has regained strength post-split due to ‘right ideology and leadership’

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister and CPN-UML Chair KP Sharma Oli has said that the party has returned to its former strength following the party split, attributing the recovery to what he called ‘the right ideology and leadership.’

Addressing the second central committee meeting of the National Youth Association Nepal in Lalitpur on Monday, Oli claimed that despite attempts by reactionary forces to weaken UML after the split with the Maoist faction, the party has successfully regained its position.

He alleged that efforts are still underway to corner UML and spread misleading propaganda, and called on the youth wing to actively counter such efforts.

Oli urged young people to support not individuals, but the party’s ideology and leadership. He also encouraged them to stand firm in support of UML’s principles such as social justice, national interest, good governance, and scientific reasoning.

Describing the Youth Association as a strong pillar of national dignity, Oli said no one would be able to dismantle it, and highlighted its role in leading social activism, awareness, and patriotic engagement.
