KATHMANDU: Singapore has set a target of 139 runs for Nepal in the ACC Men’s U-16 Eastern Regional Cricket Tournament.
Opting to bat first after winning the toss, Singapore were bowled out for 138 runs in 36.1 overs. Captain Rian Nayak top-scored with 53 runs, while opener Ahan Bhudhanbham added 38. The other opener, Roshan Arun, was dismissed for 11.
Nepal’s captain Bipin Sharma led the bowling attack with four wickets. Sachin Bhatta claimed three, while Shubham Khanal and Abhay Yadav took one wicket each. Nepal is currently batting in reply.
A total of ten teams are participating in the tournament, held under the annual calendar of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC). Nepal is in Group ‘A’ alongside Singapore, Indonesia, Bhutan, and Japan. Group ‘B’ features hosts Malaysia, Hong Kong, Maldives, Thailand, and Myanmar.
