Won’t drop visa issue without final conclusion: Sobita Gautam

KATHMANDU: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) lawmaker Sobita Gautam has made it clear that they will not let go of the visit visa controversy without reaching a proper conclusion.

Speaking to the media on Wednesday at the Parliament building in New Baneshwor, Gautam emphasized that the visit visa issue is a serious matter for the entire country, and RSP is determined to see it through until all concerns are addressed.

She also stated that RSP had prepared a five-point draft to seek a national consensus on the matter, but the ruling party refused to accept it.

Gautam criticized the Maoist party for dismissing the draft, calling it irrelevant to their concerns, and reaffirmed RSP’s firm stance on the five-point proposal.

She further clarified that RSP’s move to obstruct parliamentary proceedings was not intended to disrupt the house but aimed at finding a solution to the people’s grievances.
