Parliament meeting deferred until 3:30 pm

KATHMANDU: The meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) has been postponed by pasting a notice.

The meeting originally scheduled for 1 pm today was delayed to 3:30 pm due to a lack of consensus among parties regarding the operation of the House.

The Federal Parliament Secretariat said that Speaker Devraj Ghimire, citing special reasons, has set a new date following the rules of the House of Representatives after being unable to convene the meeting at the scheduled time.

Opposition parties have been obstructing the House, demanding a high-level investigation into Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak over the visit visa case, while the ruling party maintains that forming a committee is unnecessary.
