KATHMANDU: The Nepali national cricket team, currently on a tour of Scotland for the ICC World Cup League-2, is set to begin its triangular series campaign today against the host nation.
The match will take place in Forthill, Scotland, starting at 3:45 pm. Nepal aims to make a strong start in the series, which also includes the Netherlands.
As part of its preparation, the team played a practice match against Scotland ‘A’ and had earlier played a warm-up match in England.
This will be Nepal’s 13th match in the League-2 series. Scotland will be playing its 17th match.
Nepal, with only two wins in 12 matches, sits at the bottom of the table with six points after eight losses.
Scotland, having won nine and lost five matches, is in fourth place with 20 points. The Netherlands stands second on the table with 26 points from 12 wins, six losses, and two no-results.
Meanwhile, the United States leads the standings with 28 points, having won 14 and lost 6 matches from the same number of games.
