Tashi Gyalzen Sherpa receives heroic welcome after summiting Everest four times in 15 days



KATHMANDU: Tashi Gyalzen Sherpa, a 29-year-old mountaineer from Solukhumbu, has set a new world record by summiting Mount Everest four times within just 15 days.

Sherpa completed his fourth successful ascent on Friday at 3:13 am, achieving what is believed to be an unprecedented feat in high-altitude mountaineering.

Upon his return, Sherpa received a grand welcome at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu.

He was greeted with celebration and admiration by his family members, tourism entrepreneurs, members of the Sherpa community, and supporters.
