Foundation stone laid for High Government Attorney’s Office building in Patan



KATHANDU: Attorney General Ramesh Badal laid the foundation stone for the High Government Attorney’s Office in Patan on the occasion of Buddha Jayanti, marking what he called a significant step toward strengthening legal infrastructure.

Speaking at the ceremony on Monday, Attorney General Badal highlighted the importance of completing the construction on time and with quality.

“The construction of the building in Patan is an important achievement; it will facilitate work,” he said.

The upcoming seven-story building, with a budget of approximately Rs 260 million, is expected to house the highest government attorney’s office in the region.

Acting Chief Justice of the Patan High Court Lal Bahadur Kunwar said the new building is crucial considering the increasing workload and expressed hope it would enhance efficiency.

Associate Attorney General of Patan, Shankar Khatri, extended gratitude to all stakeholders involved in securing land, finalizing the design and DPR, and ensuring funding.

The event was attended by senior legal and administrative officials, including the Chief District Officer of Lalitpur, judges and registrar of the Patan High Court, local police officials, and members of the Patan Bar Unit.
