Republic Day to be celebrated over three days in Koshi Province



BIRATNAGAR: Koshi Province Chief Minister Hikmat Kumar Karki has directed preparations for a grand three-day celebration of Republic Day 2082 (2025) in May.

A meeting held at the Office of the Chief Minister and Council of Ministers decided to mark Republic Day on May 28, 29 and 30 with widespread public participation and awareness about the values and achievements of the democratic republic.

Chief Minister Karki instructed relevant authorities to organize programs and interactions highlighting the relevance, necessity, and accomplishments of the republic. A main event committee, chaired by Karki himself, has been formed to coordinate the celebrations.

Additionally, a directive will be issued to all districts, District Coordination Committee chairs, and local government heads to ensure the day is celebrated with equal grandeur across all local levels.
