HoR meeting taking place today; key agendas on the table



KATHMANDU: A meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) is taking place today at the Federal Parliament Building. The session will begin at 11 a.m.

Today’s agenda includes several important legislative items. Finance Committee Chair Santosh Chalise is slated to table the Report of the Committee on the Customs Bill, 2081.

Likewise, Bimala Subedi, Chair of the Law, Justice and Human Rights Committee, is scheduled to present the Report of the Committee on the Bill to Amend Some Nepal Acts, 2081.

Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Badri Prasad Pandey, is expected to present the Nepal Air Services Authority Bill, 2081.

Meanwhile, Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Ajay Kumar Chaurasia, will propose that the Nepal Lawyers Council (Second Amendment) Bill, 2081 be sent to the relevant committee for clause-by-clause discussion.

Additionally, Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Poudel is expected to present a proposal to consider the National Assembly’s amendments to the Banking Offences and Punishments (Second Amendment) Bill, 2080, according to the Parliament Secretariat.
