Government to present Policy and Program on May 2



KATHMANDU: The government is set to present its Policy and Program for the fiscal year 2082/83 BS (2025/26) on May 2.

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli announced the date while addressing a meeting of the CPN-UML parliamentary party on Saturday.

“We will present the policy and program on May 2,” PM Oli said. “A parliamentary party meeting will be held on the May 3 to gather feedback from party leaders and experts on the document.”

The government’s annual budget is formulated based on the policy and program. As per tradition, the country’s budget is presented in Parliament on the 15th of Nepali month of Jestha each year.
