RPP central working committee meeting today

KATHMANDU: The central working committee of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) is set to convene this afternoon at the party’s central office in Dhumbarahi at 4 pm.

According to party spokesperson Mohan Shrestha, the meeting will focus on the upcoming public demonstration scheduled for Tuesday, along with discussions on the latest political issues.

The meeting was called after the District Administration Office (DAO), Kathmandu refused to grant permission for the demonstration to be held at Bhrikuti Mandap, citing concerns over the security situation.

In a letter sent on Sunday, the DAO suggested Balkhu or Sifal Chaur as alternative venues for the event.

The RPP had been preparing for a large-scale public demonstration in the capital, and today’s meeting is expected to finalize the party’s response to the venue restrictions and outline the next course of action.
