Chief Minister’s Cup Volleyball tournament kicks off today



BHOJPUR: The Chief Minister’s Cup Men’s National Volleyball Tournament officially begins today, featuring teams from five provinces.

Sangram Kirati, General Secretary of the District Volleyball Association, confirmed that Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces will compete in the tournament, which will run until April 10. All matches will take place at the Kodar ground in Bhojpur Municipality-7.

The tournament is primarily sponsored by the Koshi Province Sports Development Board, with technical support from the Koshi Province Volleyball Association.

The winner of the tournament will receive a cash prize of Rs 300,000, while the second and third place teams will take home Rs 175,000 and Rs 80,000, respectively.

Additionally, the best volleyball player in each category will be awarded Rs 50,000, according to Bindra Kumar Tamang, chair of the District Volleyball Association.
