Unified Socialist to protest nationwide on April 7

KATHMANDU: The Unified Socialist has announced plans to protest across the country on April 7, demanding a thorough investigation into the vandalism and arson that occurred during the Tinkune protest.

According to Prakash Jwala, head of the Central Publicity Department, the party’s various committees will organize protests at the municipal, ward, provincial, and regional levels to press for a fair investigation and legal action against those responsible for the incident.

A task force led by Central Deputy General Secretary Ram Kumar Bhattarai has been formed to gather information on the damages caused to the party.

In addition to the protest, the party will hold political meetings nationwide, focusing on issues like good governance, employment, and national prosperity, while also addressing the latest political developments and international affairs.

The Unified Socialist aims to highlight political corruption and gather public suggestions to improve the electoral system and implement socialist programs for economic and social transformation.

Meanwhile, the Unified Socialist Party’s ongoing campaign, which started on March 15, will continue until May 5.
