Rabi Lamichhane rings bell as he returns to party leadership



KATHMANDU: Rabi Lamichhane has officially resumed his role as chair of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) after more than five months.

On Monday, Lamichhane held a press conference at the party’s central office in Chaumati, ringing the bell at the office entrance to mark his return.

Following the press meet, he participated in the party’s central committee meeting.

His return drew a large crowd, including YouTubers, journalists, and party supporters.

Addressing the gathering, Lamichhane criticized the government, calling it morally bankrupt.

“I don’t know what moral ground this government stands on. Its legitimacy is gone,” he said. “The major parties joined hands not to protect democracy or the constitution but to shield each other’s corrupt leaders.”
